Hello there.

It's Friday, huzzah! I have a to-do list that's longer in length than I am so I'm not quite in the huzzah mood but I'll get there. Sometimes I just write easy things on it like, 'take bin outside' so I can score them off and feel better about myself. Today's outfit was shot in Edinburgh a couple of weeks back riiiight before the skies opened up and it started pouring down (hence the moody lighting). I had a dinner with Mulberry that evening - trying to say that casually but internally I'm doing an excited sweat - and spent all day panicking about on earth to wear. They're one of my all-time favourite brands and everything I put on just didn't feel quite right, kind of like the Grinch when he's trying to find an outfit for the Christmas party: 'No, no, definitely not'. I haven't been sleeping properly for the past few months and just don't feel like myself at the moment; I look permanently eye-baggy, my skin and hair are sad and dull, my anxiety's been having a rip-roaring time of it and I'm always on the verge of having a little cry at things I'd normally deal with no problem at all (ask Andy, my PT, he's already been treated to a ill-timed and mildly ugly breakdown). Anyway, that escalated from 'here's my outfit' to 'please help me' pretty quickly, didn't it? It just kind of tumbled out, maybe the excited sweats set me off. I generally like to keep it quite upbeat and happy on here, so I do apologise for being Downtrod Dina but the past little while's been a bit hard.

Anywaaaay, now you know that, let's get back to the outfit. After trying on and discarding ooh... five million outfits? I settled on my usual go-to that is the floral midi. It was either going to be that or trousers and a crop, wasn't it? I picked it up on ASOS a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to find it was from Boohoo, who I don't usually shop with, but I love it! It's only £25 too which is pretttty wonderful. I wore it with some strappy sandals instead of my silver boots, which the rain made sure I knew was a bad decision. We live and learn. And, of course, my beautiful Mulberry.

Well, I'm offskies, this to-do list isn't going to tick itself off! Now where's that bin..
