Why hair-laiiiiiiir (did anyone ever get told in school that if you say hair-lair slowly it sounds like a posh person saying hello? No? Awkward..). Today's post is a little day to night lookbook which is focused around two very, very sassy pairs of shoes; one of which excited me more than any pair of shoes I've seen in a long time. Ooh, intriguing, I know.

So, the first look is the day look. I wanted to keep it quite simple because that's generally how my day outfits go; not much effort and easy just to slip into. The shoes that I styled it around are these beautiful little grey espadrilles which were perfect for a day of walking around Edinburgh. They also come in pink and black but I went for grey because they go with absolutely anything - just slide them on and you're good to go! I paired them with a little floral lilac midi dress and a big, oversized straw bag. I carry around so SO much stuff during the day; normally I'll have my purse, my phone, my camera (sometimes two), some make-up, keys, snacks (crucial) and about a kilogram's worth of old receipts, so a big ole bag is essential. I also loved that the white detailing on this one makes it feels even summer-ier. That's definitely a made-up word isn't it? Now, normally I'd have paired this with my straw hat but I'VE LOST IT - I left it on a train from Edinburgh to Glasgow last week and I'm still not over it - so instead decided to finish the look off with a messy bun. And, ta-da!

The nighttime look is a slightly dressier take on my usual combo of high waisted trousers and crop top. If it ain't broke.. And the shoes, oh the shoes. These are the aforementioned exciting pair of shoes. On a scale of slightly amazing to Ryan Gosling's face amazing, I think they might even exceed the latter. They kind of remind me of a fruit pastille ice lolly which I think just made me love them more. If you love this print but aren't sure on the shape, they also come in a wee pump style and in a court heel. I wanted to bring out some of the colours in them so I popped on my bright yellow cigarette trousers with a more simple top - so the attention was still on the shoesettes - and finished it off with one last pop of colour in the form of my usual big red earrings. Initially I wasn't sure what to go for bag-wise, but then I spotted this little number and everything clicked into place.

And there we have it! Two looks, one day one night, and two amazing pairs of shoes. Let me know which look is your favourite (and make sure you do it out of earshot of the other)
