Hellllllloo! Happy Sunday. A week till Christmas, eh… how on earth did that one happen. As excited as I am, I’m trying not to vomit in my mouth at the thought of how many Christmas presents I’ve still to buy. I started early and bought about a third of them in November, got very complacent – cocky – and realised yesterday with a jolt that I now have eight days to finish the rest. Thank god for Amazon Prime.
Anyway, today’s post is another little outfit one for you (it’s been a while, hasn’t it) and I thought I’d do a day to night this time, because it’s the time of year when you often have more than one event on in a day and could be rushing from Christmas lunch with Aunty Barbara to festive drinks with the girls. And how the heck do you dress for that. My daytime look is a real nice cosy one, all based around the Winter jacket of my dreams. It’s faux fur (of course) the perfect length and just so happens to be the softest thing in the world. Stressing about what to buy for your boyfriend’s cousin’s dog? Just give it a stroke and you’ll be fine. Instant calm. I genuinely couldn’t believe it was Hollister either, I was wandering around looking for something and just kind of pounced on it as soon as I spotted it. We made eye contact, it promised to make me feel like a human teddy bear, and it delivered. I sized up from my usual size which I’d recommend, I found it sat a lot better and also leaves a good amount of room for a jumper – or two – underneath. Speaking of jumpers, I popped on this little striped number which just so happens to be in one of my favourite colour combos; camel and black. Delicious. Paired with some jeans and these uh-mazing Office ankle boots (comfiest things ever, I wore them for five days on the trot with no hint of foot pain whatsoever) and a pair of sunglasses to hide the evidence of festive drinks the nights before, and your day look is good to go.
My evening look features another piece I was surprised to find in Hollister, and it's this lovely sequin star top. I love sequins and I love stars so it was an instant winner, and a really nice way to add some Christmas pizazz to a plain black jeans look. Plus it’s very light and flowy so fits under a jumper – cough a camel and black rollneck – very well. And what are stars not complete without? The moon! I spied this little moon charm necklace at the very last minute and knew it’d go perfectly. It’s quite nice to dress like the night sky sometimes.
And there we have it, a day to night look completed just by putting on and taking off a jumper. And the best part? Every single thing I’m wearing is now in sale. EVERY SINGLE THING. It’s the most wonderful tiiiiiime….
