A Film Photo Diary

Hey pals! Long time no blog, huh? I've got my big Cuba photo diary coming on Friday morning (when I say big, I mean big.. I think there are over 80 photos in it so, if you fancy a skive at work or something to accompany a cup of tea, I've got your back) but in the meantime I thought I'd share some film snaps that have been building up over the past couple of months! The above are from Talacre, my first ever time in North Wales, and I honestly can't believe how beautiful it was - we spent the eve on the beach and watched the sunset and just generally marvelled at the view. I'd love to go back for longer next time!

A wee family day out at Glasgow Summer Sessions to see the Foo Fighters which was one of the best days I've had in a long time, we haven't all been together since Christmas so it was lovely to unite and scream our hearts out with Dave in the sun (after, of course, an initial Glasgow downpour or four). There are still tickets for the 1975 on Sunday 25th August available now if you fancy a visit yourself!

Some more snaps from Talacre beach; we were shooting an Elizabeth Arden campaign (this very one to be precise) and, not to brag, but I have a distinct ability to ruin 7/10 film photos with an exaggerated blink. If the eyes were fine, the towel decided to slide dramatically off my head. You win some, you lose some (unless you're me then... you just lose all of them).

A few recent snaps from family hangs and some jaunts with Meggy and George. The first set is from the Jimmys Liverpool launch (which was AMAZING - if you live in or near the area or are visiting from afar, get your little butt in there for a gig or a drink!), the second lot are from York - the photo on the train was taken after a very sweaty, very dramatic run to the train station (which I think we made by about five seconds) and is one of my favourites. The last ones are from a few different family hangs around about Scotland! I originally had some nice ones with pals in here but I didn't have permission to share them and friends can abandon me much easier than family for uploading photos they don't like so best be safe than sorry and all that (until I can trick them into signing a contract that binds them to me eternally anyway).

These were shot up North in Bonny Scotland whilst we were photographing this Monica Vinader campaign! The dress is an old Reformation number, the hat is Lack of Color and ze jacket is Barbour.

And a few wee film snaps from Lisbon to round it off! For the record, I do not know that couple on the beach in the first photo... They just looked so cute that it felt wrong not to snap it. Is this how people end up on registers? I hope not.

So, Friday morning for the Cuba post! Get your reading glasses and an extra large red bull at the ready.
