Hey ma pals! First up, I need to talk about the weather. Not because I'm British - ok, a little because I'm British - but because it's currently 27 degrees in Glasgow. THIS NEVER HAPPENS. Honestly, what a rush.

Anyway, all this talk of heatwaves leads quite nicely onto today's post which is all about holiday packing. I will hold my hands up and say that I'm world's worst when it comes to holiday packing. Weirdly, around the age of 10-13, I used to be great at it. I'd start picking outfits out around two weeks before we left, one very carefully and lovingly laid our for each night of the trip and then I'd add all the fun stuff like notepads and plastic jewellery and books as time went on. By the time the night before we left arrived I was tucked up in bed, sleeping the sweet, satisfied sleep of a Grade-A packer. Something happened in between now and then - puberty maybe - and I could not be more opposite nowadays. You can guarantee that at midnight the night before a flight I'll be awake, frantically ripping open last minute ASOS orders and throwing things into a case, cursing myself for being the way I am. Sometimes I like to dramatically shout out a few, 'WHYYYYS' if I'm feeling particularly indulgent. So today's post bring to you are a few things I panic bought for Dubai; I did a huge, huge big ASOS order and this sassy striped swimsuit and striped jumpsuit (I was clearly in a very stripey place) are the surviving contenders. There were many, many more in that parcel that, sadly, did not make the cut. The swimsuit's actually one of my favourite swimwear pieces I've bought in a while, it's such a lovely fit and so nice and jolly in colour. I'm like a human fruit pastille lolly when I wear it which - I've just realised - is probably why I love it so.

I put in said panic ASOS order using a payment method called 'Klarna', which you might actually have seen before without realising what it is. They run a 'buy now, pay later' system so, say like me, you're holiday shopping and want to buy half of ASOS so that you can guarantee you find something in there that you like. If you use Klarna then you can pay either 14 or 30 days after you've made your purchase, and with no interest added or anything like that when paying by card/bank transfer. The whole point being that, if you use it sensibly, you can put in a holiday order, or choose a few dresses for a night out, try them all on and return them without any money actually having left your account. So for this particular trip I ended up buying five different swimsuits - no ragrets - but only liked two of them so was able to buy them, try them and send them back without actually 'paying' if you like. Simples! It genuinely, genuinely makes holiday shopping so much easier when you can order all the things you'd normally hum and haw about without worrying about having to have the money in your account at that moment. Just, of course, be sensible when you use it and make sure that you'll definitely have the money in your account to pay for what you keep when the payment is due 14 or 30 days later! I'll leave you a wee list of the retailers who support Klarna at the moment here (ASOS, Topshop, Miss Selfridge to name a few) so that you can check it out if you so wish! And just look out for this little logo below to use it.
