Seasonal Dressing

The Little Magpie Zara Studded Leather Biker Jacket Glasgow
Hello friends! Hows thangs? So, myself and my wee Kirsty put our heads together the past two weeks, got moodboarding like crazy and talked a lot about what kind of images and looks we wanted to shoot. The result? I have seven brand spanking new outfit posts lined up to share with you over the next fortnight that are my favourite I've ever shot. That's right, I've pulled out the f-word. Favourite that is, I would never use the other f-word so brazenly. I kind of lost my way a little bit over summer, which I talked about a few times and kind of brought the mood down with (sorry about that), but I'm finally feeling inspired once and excited once more. And when I say I'm excited I mean to the level that I got heart palpitations when Kirsty sent through the photos because I loved them so much. That is no word of a lie (although it's so tragic I almost wish it was).

FRENCH CONNECTION floral midi dress | ZARA studded biker jacket (similar & similar) | NEW LOOK cream fringed jumper | TOPSHOP lime boots (out of stock but still on site in white and in black) | SEE BY CHLOE bag

Today's look is one that's designed to combat the in-between weather we've been having at the moment as we inch closer to A/W; its cold and grey one minute and the sun's bursting through the clouds the next. What do we do? We layer! And we layer good. So, in today's outfit, on the bottom layer I popped on a very light, very floaty, very whimsical maxi from French Connection which I absolutely love. The muted palette of green, mustard, teal and black is perfect for this time of year, making it a excellent-y piece to layer some autumnal garments over. On top of that goes this cream jumper from New Look which, I won't lie, you'll be seeing a shit tonne more of because I haven't really taken it off. You may remember it from this blog post or this instagram here - a lot of you were asking about it but it wasn't online yet and it was a very stressful time for us all. But GOOD NEWS MY FRIENDS, it's finally on there! And it's only £29.99 which I think is genuinely amazing considering how expensive it looks. I sized up for mine so if you want that kind of baggy slouchy look I'd recommend doing the same. On top of that goes the studded biker jacket which has also been getting a lot of wear as of late. Finally the boots. Wow. They're neon. I know, they're pretty wild for me. I think I ordered them around midnight when I was high on tea (I know how to live) and decided to deal with the consequences later. But I love them! They're a lot easier to wear than I thought and go really well with that previously mentioned Autumnal palette. They're the ones you've seen me wear in black in this post and are, yes, just as comfortable.

Oh my god that's the most I've written in a long time. That's even bigger than some of my uni essays.

I'll be back very soon with some more new looks which I'm very, very excited to share. Did I mention that already?
