Ello ello ello! You may recognise this outfit from this Instagram post here and I'm so very excited to share the proper 'big camera' photos. We shot these on the ever-so-charming Victoria Street in Edinburgh which is one of my absolute favourites - especially at this time of year, it's always got such a lovely festive buzz to it, and the Harry Potter store is, of course, one of my favourite places in the land.

Now, I must say, on paper a 'tan vinyl trench' might sound a bit '...wow' but it's been one of my most worn coats since I got it. Because of the material it's totally wipe-clean (I know I like to joke around but I'm not kidding here, I spill roughly 7 times per day so an outfit that disguises that and makes me look like I'm successfully navigating adulthood is a God-send) and the colour goes with many, many outfits. The dress is another hero piece - sidenote: I love how dramatic the term 'HERO PIECE' is - it's a purse-friendly £32, sucks you in and can be worn with pretty much anything. The slashed neckline and buttons down the side are nice wee details that make it stand out a bit from your usual midi dress too. It, alas, is not wipe clean so please do wear a bib at all times with it.

On an entirely separate note, I'm working on some gift guides this year as it's been a few years since I've done one! Fashion-wise I've got a three-look lookbook coming up this week and travel-wise I'm working on my New York guide - which I know a lot of you have been asking about - but it's a bit of a belter and I've only been able to work on it in between all the Christmas madness so I think that's most likely to be a January read!
