It's Christmas Party Outfit Time

IMG_1642
You guessed it, here we have my first party look of the season! I've been listening to Michael Buble for a good month now so, I must say, it's a real relief that time's finally caught up with me. For this look, I've went for quite an understated outfit - so that I can let my jewels do the talking - in the form of this black jumpsuit. However, there's a little party going on at the shoulder region with the nice cutaway detail, giving it that little sum' sum' extra you want during the festive period. However, I did say I was going to let the jewels do the talking and that's what I'll do now. Well, I'm going to do the talking actually, but I'll say what the jewels would want me to. My statement piece for this look is, what some people would call, The King of all Watches. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, it's a big, beautiful Cartier. That's kind of another reason for the simple look, when you're wearing such a thing of beauty on your wrist then nobody's really looking at anything else, are they? Especially my Mum; she looks at Cartiers the way I look at chocolate brownies.

...Anyway, back to what I was saying, I think one of the perfect routes to go down at Christmas is a simple outfit jazzed up with some statement jewellery. And Cartier doesn't rhyme with partywear for no reason (just go with it). A watch in particular is wonderful because the more classic, timeless styles like this one go with anything. And any accessory that you can pop on to complete your look without having to think too much about is a real winner in my books, especially at this time of year when you have events on every five minutes. However, thanks to its previously mentioned classic style, it'd also set off a full on in-yo-face party look. Sequin dress? Sure, pop a classic watch on. Black cocktail dress? Bring it, this watch is ready. A velvet suit? Pfft, please, it was born to go with a statement suit. That's the beauty of the understated but ruddy beautiful watch, it completes any look without taking over and shouting, 'LOOK AT ME, BABY, I'M A STATEMENT PIECE', but equally can be the focus of it - like mine - if you want it to be.

So there we go, the Christmas outfit posts begin. I really hope you liked this post, let me know in the comments below what you think and what your top party pieces are! In the meantime, I need to go and take this off before my wrist turns into a total diva.
