Christmas Party Picks

If you might follow me on any form of social media then you'll probably have realised by now that I'm very, VERY excited about Christmas. I know it's a bit premature, and I know that I'm supposed to be an adult but I just can't help it. Sadly, being a blogger, I don't really get an official Christmas work night out (party for one anyone?) but I know that, depending on how keen you are, they tend to start from around now and run right through December so it seemed like the perfect time for me to put together my top party picks for the season. As always, just click on the photo to be taken straight to the item! Before we start, here are some verrry useful discount codes:

Urban Outfitters: Up to 50% off until 01/12 - no code needed!
ASOS: CYBERWKND20 for 20% off EVERYTHING (valid until 02/12 at 8am)
Anthropologie: 20% off everything until midnight 01/12 - no code needed!
Topshop: Up to 50% off until midnight 01/12 - no code needed!
River Island: Up to 40% off - no code needed!

DRESSES

Generally I'm more of a top and trouser girl on a night out, but during the festive period I always gravitate towards dresses (normally very, very sparkly ones - what a cliché I am) and this year I'm swaying towards this beautiful blue Alice McCall dress, which I honestly think might be one of the best dresses I've ever laid eyes on.

SEPARATES & PLAYSUITS

Here are my favourite skirt, top trouser and playsuit picks for those of you who aren't big dress fans. I genuinely can't decide which is more perfect - the Alice McCall pink two-piece or the Topshop ruffle playsuit (which would look INCREDIBLE with the Kurt Geiger star print platforms).

COVER UPS

If you live in the UK then what you wear over your party outfit often ends up being the most important part thanks to the lovely sub-arctic temperatures we get. For this reason I prefer a good fur coat like this white polar bear-esque ASOS one but you can't go wrong with a blazer or kimono either (I think the kimono's actually classed as nightwear but it's too pretty not to wear out).

SHOES

Shoes are probably my favourite thing to buy for Christmas nights out, I don't know why but you really can't beat a good party pair. I actually just bought the ASOS red velvet platforms last week after admiring them on Megan but I think I'm going to make a sneaky purchase of the Topshop gemstone pony platforms (don't tell Santa I've got a shopping problem or he'll put me on the naughty list) because the lower heel height and just general beauty of them very much appeal to me.

BAGS

Bags are also fun to buy around this time of year because the shops bring out so many beautiful ones. I really do love all of these, but that Topshop coin bag is calling my name. Although the Whistles fur one could also double up as a pillow on the taxi ride home...

I hope you all liked this post, let me know which are your favourite festive picks! I'm also putting together a couple of Christmas gift guides (I've gone C-word mad) so they'll be up in the next couple of weeks... all hail SANTAAAA.
