Week in Pictures

Free People pop-up shop
Well, well, well… my Week in Pictures feature returns. You guys left some really lovely comments on my last one, with most of you admitting you enjoy this type of post because, like me, you’re little nosy parkers. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you’ll probably know that I was down in London for a couple of days this week, mainly to attend the Free People E-pop up shop, and disappoint it did not. It’s no secret that I’m a massive FP fan, but the pieces they had out in the showroom from the A/W collection were spectacular, like little works of art (take, for example, this belter of a jacket here). They had hair braiding, DJing and a little stall set up with the tastiest snacks including wheatgrass and cashew butter balls and edible (yes, edible) flowers.

I also popped along to the opening of the Galeria Melissa in Covent Garden - Melissa's first permanent UK store - when I was down, and the store’s just beautiful; think futuristic and classic all at once. There was Jamie Hince on DJ, Kate Moss and Georgia Jagger in attendance as well as the best mojitos in town, and the collection itself is so cute and quirky. The store’s now open to the public, so if you fancy checking it out for yourself it’s over on King Street.

They've stayed faithful to the party shoes they’re known for (think iridescent glitter and snakeprint so shimmery a mermaid would be proud) but they've also got some really stripped back, minimal pieces in which are, you guessed it, right up my street. I picked up a pair of these zebra pointed loafers, so keep an eye out for those coming to an outfit post near you soon.

Incredible cakes on the uni campus and cocktails at No 32

I also managed to fit in a quick trip to Brighton to visit my little brother, and let him take me on a delightful little culinary tour: from incredible cakes, to cocktails at No 32 (that’s the No.32 speciality cocktail on the right there and boy oh boyyy is it good), to a huge pub dinner at the cutest pub called The Black Lion which looks almost exactly like what I imagined Grimmauld Place to look like from the outside when I read the Harry Potter books. #nerdalert.

A quick outfit post in Oxford Circus beside my one true love; Topshop. Wearing a River Island jacket (FINALLY I got my hands on a cropped sleeve one), a Warehouse boucle jumper, Topshop jeans and an H&M clutch.
