LFW with Mercedes-Benz part III

So, here's my penultimate post from my time at London Fashion Week with Mercedes-benz as their social reporter. I thought I'd put together some collages of the shows we went to when we were there, so, without further ado... LFWpostPingHe

Bora Aksu

This was my favourite of the shows we went to see. The SS14 collection was inspired by his childhood memories of life in Turkey, which was reflected in everything from the prints and textures, to the colour palette to his choice of soundtrack.
LFWDAKS
DAKS

The DAKS collection was amazing, filled with clean shapes that had a Parisian air to them. There were lots of beautiful open backs as well as cheeky flashes of tartan (what better way to win a Scot's heart?).

LFWNian
Nian

Nian's SS14 collection was shown at the Freemasons' Hall, which is one of the most beautiful buildings I've had the pleasure of being in. There were a lot of androgynous silhouettes present in the collection that Buruk intended to be worn by those who don't conform to the norm, which was also reflected in her choice of models.

The next show we attended was winner of Fashion Scout's Merit Award, Yulia Kondranina. The collection featured beautiful crochet dresses that, due to the addition of sheer panels, gave the impression of being separates. Texture remained the main focus of the collection, with the colour palette kept quite minimal.

Ping He

Ping He was the last show of the night that we attended, where we were sat behind Laura Whitmore and Poppy Delevigne which was pretty exciting. The collection was created with a monochrome colour palette in mind and featured strong, structured silhouettes that exuded sophistication and femininity, while still having a hard edge to them.
